Curvy Mechanics
Privacy Policy
The short version
- Our games have no accounts, no sign-in and no ads.
- Our games contain no analytics or crash-reporting tools, and the games' own code sends nothing over the internet. We, Curvy Mechanics, receive no data from our games.
- Your progress and settings are saved on your device. If Android's backup is turned on, Android may include that game data in your Google account's backup.
- Purchases are made through Google Play. We never see your card or payment details.
- Moon Sling includes Google's Play Billing Library so that purchases work. That library may send diagnostic information to Google, under Google's privacy policy.
- If you email us, we use your message only to help you.
Who we are
Curvy Mechanics is a small independent game studio. We publish games for Android on Google Play under the developer name “Curvy Mechanics”. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Curvy Mechanics.
Privacy questions and requests: curvymechanics.support@gmail.com.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to every game Curvy Mechanics publishes and to this website, curvymechanics.com. Each game also has its own privacy page that lists exactly what that game stores and which permissions it asks for. The game pages add detail; they do not replace this policy.
What data our games handle
Saved on your device
Our games save your progress (for example, which levels you have finished, and your records) and your settings (for example, sound on or off) in the game's own storage on your device. Where a game sells something, it also saves a note on the device that you own it, so the game works offline. This data is used only to run the game, and it is not sent to us.
Android backup
If you have turned on Android's backup for your device, Android may copy a game's saved data into the backup it keeps in your Google account, and restore it when you reinstall the game or move to a new phone. This is a feature of Android that you control in your device settings. The backup is held by Google, not by us, and we cannot see it.
Purchases
Purchases in our games are made on Google Play's own screens and processed by Google. We never see or store your card number or other payment details. A game that sells something asks Google Play, on your device, whether your Google account owns the item and what price to show; it does not send that answer anywhere. Google Play gives us records of the orders for our games, as it does for every developer, and we use them only for our accounts and to help with refunds.
What our games do not do
- No account, sign-in or player profile.
- No advertising, and no advertising or tracking tools.
- No analytics or crash-reporting tools.
- No permission requests for your location, contacts, files, camera or microphone.
Services from other companies
A few things in and around our games are run by Google under Google's own terms and privacy policy, not by us:
- Google Play handles downloads, purchases, payments and refunds.
- Google Play Billing Library. Games that sell something include this library from Google. It talks to the Google Play Store app on your device to show prices and complete purchases. It also contains Google components that may send the library's own diagnostic information to Google. We do not receive that information.
- Android backup, described above, is run by Google as part of your Google account.

If you contact us
When you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to include, such as your device model, Android version or a Google Play order number. We use it only to answer you and to fix the problem you report. Our support inbox is a Gmail account, so your message is also stored by Google.
We keep support emails while we are helping you and for as long as they are useful for following up on your request. You can ask us to delete your support emails at any time, and we will delete them.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell personal data. We do not share your emails with anyone, apart from Google storing our support inbox as described above, unless the law requires us to.
Keeping and deleting data
- Game data on your device stays there until you delete it. Uninstalling a game, or clearing its storage in your device's Android settings, deletes it from the device.
- Backup copies are kept and deleted by Google according to your Google account's backup settings.
- Purchases stay with your Google account, so a reinstalled game can restore them. Google keeps purchase records under its own policies.
- Support emails are kept as described above, and we delete them when you ask.
- Accounts. Our games have no accounts, so there is no account to delete.
How data is protected
Our games keep your saved data in their private app storage on your device, which Android keeps separate from other apps. Payments take place on Google Play's screens, not inside our code. Because our games send us nothing, we hold no game data about you. Support emails are kept in our support inbox. Curvy Mechanics reads them to answer you, and we do not share them.
Children
Our games are not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; our games do not collect personal data from anyone. If a child under 13 has emailed us, a parent or guardian can write to us and we will delete the message.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. The only personal data we hold is what you send us by email. To make a request, write to curvymechanics.support@gmail.com. For data held by Google, such as purchases and backups, use your Google account settings or contact Google.
This website
This website has no analytics, advertising or tracking, and our pages set no cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical information that any website visit involves, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a game update changes what data the game handles, we will update its privacy page when that update is released.
